Milos in Greece is a masterpiece of Nature! Due to its volcanic origin, the island has wild beauty with lunar like landscapes, canyons and so many different beaches that look like no other! Combine all these with the unparalleled Hellenic and islandic cuisine, with the island’s great history and you have a fantastic outcome….

Are you ready for your next holiday destination ?

Some tips to consider :

  • The island has a horse-shoe like shape with a big natural gulf. Inside this you can find the main harbor-town named Adamantas (“Αδάμαντας” means “diamond” in Greek).
  • The west of the island is almost uninhabited and a big part of it is in Natura 2000 with rare endemic species and rare landscapes to explore. It is quite difficult with non-suv cars (4×4 are highly recommended) because there are rough nd narrow dirt roads. However there are boat trips to some places like Kleftiko or Cave of Sykia and Vani. On the other hand you can also hike to many places if the weather is not too hot.
  • The east of the island is mostly where most villages can be found but still there are many wild and historical places to explore like the Sulfur Mines, the catacombs, the ancient theater and the sight where the popular Aphodite of Milos statue was found ! Of course several other must-see places can be included in the long list like Klima, the castle of Plaka with its breathtaking view, Achivadolimni and the amazing Sarakiniko with its lunar fiords!
  • Prefer to visit the island during April to mid-June or September to mid October in order to have a more authentic experience without crowds because Milos is already under the radar for many people.
